In order to split the Kiryu Clan and set his revenge in motion, Ken first assassinates Kawashima (Fujiwara Yoshiaki). Mikitani mistakenly believed that Kawashima's assassination was the work of Sagawa (Motomiya Yasukaze), and hid from the Kiryu Clan with aims to capture Sagawa.
